Documentary days in Istanbul

ISTANBUL

Swedish documentary maker Stefan Jarl is the guest of honor of the event.

The 8th Documentarist Istanbul Documentary Days will be held from June 13 to 18. Nearly 90 films from various countries will be screened during the event. 

This year the festival will also move to the Anatolian side. The screening venues will be the SES Theater, SALT Beyoğlu, Aynalıgeçit, French Culture Center, Şişli Kent Culture Center and TAK Design Atelier. 

The honorary guest of this year’s event will be Swedish documentary director Stefan Jarl. His eight films will be screened for the first time. 

Jarl, who will unable to come to Turkey, will give a cinema class to the festival audience via the Internet.

The festival will end June 18 with the screening of Robert Flahert’s 1926 film, “Moana.”
