Exchange of cultures revealed

‘Exhibition between cultures’ displays artworks of artists and also students who have come to Turkey.

Dolmabahçe Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition titled “The exhibition between cultures.” The exhibition displays artworks of artists and also students who have come to Turkey to live for a short period of time with government programs. The exhibition is organized by the Turkish Culture Foundation (TKV). The exhibition aims to share the experiences that people have gone through when they have come to Turkey with exchange programs. The teachers and students share their thoughts and artworks at the exhibition.

TKV board of trustees’ president Nükhet Onat said sharing between cultures was very important and it became more important as the exchange programs spread to high schools. Onat said the project was made to give the message of peace, during the opening of the exhibition.

Onat said these kinds of programs and events had been taking place in the world for 100 years and Turkey had been organizing exchange programs for 60 years.

These kinds of programs brought people closer to each other and also helped to maintain peace, according to Onat.
