Number of flamingo chicks on rise in İzmir

In 2015, 7,100 flamingo chicks were born at the Gediz Delta near İzmir, one of the most important sites for the breeding of flamingoes. The 550-square-meter field has been extended to 1,440 square-meters and turned into an artificial island for more flamingoes to breed.
