Six soldiers killed in clashes with PKK in Turkey’s Şırnak
Six soldiers were killed in the Uludere district of the southeastern province of Şırnak on Sept. 26 during a clash with outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants, Doğan News Agency has reported.
A number of ambulances were dispatched to the scene for the wounded soldiers at the checkpoint near a prison in Şırnak, Doğan said.
The killings came hours after a roadside bomb attack by the militants in the southeatern province of Mardin, where four other soldiers were killed.
