Turkey’s most popular television series Magnificent Century has new 'Hürrem'

Vahide Gördüm has joined the cast of TV series “Muhteşem Yüzyıl”.

After Meryem Uzerli returned to Germany for “burnout” syndrome treatment, veteran actress Vahide Gördüm has joined the cast of TV series “Muhteşem Yüzyıl” (The Magnificent Century), to take over from Uzerli in the role of Hürrem, daily Hürriyet reported yesterday. Gördüm, who made a deal with the show’s producer Timur Savcı, was on screen last night for the first time, in the show’s season finale.

“I am very excited and feel that I have taken over a mission,” Gördüm said with regard to her new role.

Since Uzerli left the series to go to Berlin, many rumors have been circulating, with some reports saying she left the series for money and others saying it was because she worked a lot.
