The ancient city of Assos in the northwestern province of Çanakkale is hosting a yoga festival with approximately 600 attendees, including Turks and foreigners. The nine-day International Yoga Festival has been organized by the Yoga Academy, as it does so only a yearly basis. Attendees from countries such as Germany, Britain, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Italy, France and Russia came to the festival seeking a respite from the daily grind, and a chance to purge themselves of their stress; the ancient city’s natural and historical sites on offer were also part of the attendees’ agenda.
